ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 pandemic encouraged Pentecostal churches in Indonesia to adopt digital spaces as platforms for worship and ministry. Initially temporary practices later evolved into a continuous ministry pattern in the post-pandemic era. This article aims to analyze the influence of digital worship on the construction of Pentecostal ecclesiology, particularly in relation to presence, community, spirituality, and ecclesial authority. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach, focusing on digital theology and virtual church literature in Indonesia from 2018 to 2025. Data were collected through keyword-based searches in academic databases, followed by selection, reduction, and thematic content analysis. The findings show that digitalization not only transforms liturgical practices but also forms hybrid spiritual communities that integrate physical and virtual spaces. At the same time, it raises challenges such as the diminishing sacredness of worship, weakened communal relationships, commodification of religious experience, and shifts in pastoral authority due to social media dominance. The novelty of this study lies in the concept of hybrid ecclesiology as a theological framework for understanding the transformation of Pentecostal churches in the digital era. The article concludes that Indonesian Pentecostal churches need to develop a hybrid ecclesiology model grounded in pneumatology, incarnational community, and pastoral discipline.
