Online gaming addiction in children is a psychosocial problem that impacts behavioural, emotional, and social relationship aspects. This study aims to understand the dynamics of the recovery process for online gaming addiction survivors in Kupang City, focusing on the role of professionals and the psychosocial interventions provided. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with case study. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews carried out three times with three professionals, namely nurses and psychologists, who have experience in assisting children with online gaming addiction. The results of the study indicate that the recovery process is dynamic, non-linear, and contextual. Recovery is not only marked by a decrease in the intensity of gaming, but also by behavioural changes, a strengthening of the meaning of life, and an improvement in the child's social relationships. This study also found that professionals play an important role not only as providers of therapeutic interventions, but also as a primary source of support when family involvement is not yet optimal. Simple psychosocial interventions tailored to the local social and cultural context have been shown to contribute to the sustainability of the recovery process. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the recovery from online gaming addiction in children is a process that involves psychological and social aspects simultaneously. It is recommended that parents and professionals work collaboratively and consistently to support the sustainability of the child's recovery process.
