PEMAHAMAN TENTANG BUDAYA KEPESANTRENAN TERHADAP PERUBAHAN DIMENSI KEHIDUPAN MASYARAKAT

ABSTRACT
Pesantren culture is a manifestation of Islamic values that grow within the pesantren environment and strongly influence the social life of the surrounding community. This study aims to understand the influence of this culture on changes in the social, moral, educational, and spiritual dimensions of society. The method used in this research is a literature study by analyzing various scholarly sources, such as books, journal articles, and relevant documents that discuss the relationship between pesantren and the community. The findings show that pesantren culture, characterized by the values of sincerity, independence, simplicity, and discipline, plays an important role in shaping a society that is religious, morally upright, tolerant, and resilient in facing the changes of the times. This culture also contributes significantly to promoting sustainable social transformation and strengthening community values rooted in spirituality. Thus, pesantren functions not only as a religious educational institution but also as an agent of social and moral change in holistic community development. The analysis indicates that pesantren culture has a crucial role in responding to changes in the social, moral, educational, and spiritual dimensions of society. These values not only preserve Islamic identity but also encourage adaptation to modern challenges such as globalization and technology. Pesantren continues to serve as a change agent that shapes a tolerant, resilient, and morally virtuous society. However, challenges such as resistance to innovation and limited resources need to be addressed through stronger policy support. Therefore, strengthening pesantren culture becomes essential for building a holistic and harmonious society in the global era.
ABSTRAK
Budaya kepesantrenan merupakan manifestasi nilai-nilai keislaman yang tumbuh di lingkungan pesantren dan berpengaruh kuat terhadap kehidupan sosial masyarakat sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami pengaruh budaya tersebut terhadap perubahan dimensi sosial, moral, pendidikan, dan spiritual masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber ilmiah, seperti buku, artikel jurnal, dan dokumen relevan yang membahas keterkaitan antara pesantren dan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya kepesantrenan, yang ditandai nilai keikhlasan, kemandirian, kesederhanaan, dan kedisiplinan, berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter masyarakat yang religius, berakhlak mulia, toleran, dan tangguh menghadapi perubahan zaman. Budaya ini juga berkontribusi signifikan mendorong transformasi sosial berkelanjutan serta memperkuat nilai kemasyarakatan berbasis spiritualitas. Dengan demikian, pesantren berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai lembaga pendidikan keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai agen perubahan sosial dan moral dalam pembangunan masyarakat secara holistik. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa budaya pesantren berperan krusial dalam merespons perubahan dimensi sosial, moral, pendidikan, dan spiritual masyarakat. Nilai-nilai tersebut tidak hanya mempertahankan identitas keislaman, tetapi juga mendorong adaptasi terhadap tantangan modern seperti globalisasi dan teknologi. Pesantren berfungsi sebagai agen perubahan berkelanjutan yang membentuk masyarakat toleran, tangguh, dan berakhlak mulia. Meski demikian, resistensi terhadap inovasi dan keterbatasan sumber daya menjadi tantangan yang perlu diatasi melalui dukungan kebijakan. Dengan demikian, penguatan budaya pesantren menjadi kunci bagi pembangunan masyarakat yang holistik dan harmonis di era global.
