This study aims to determine the personality profile based on the results of psychometric tests as outcome predictor on substance abuse disorders. The method used is a systematic review conducted through a literature search on Google Scholar, Science Direct and Pubmed databases published in the last 5 years. Journal searches were carried out using the keywords “Personality Profile”, “Drug Addiction”, “Substance Use Disorder” and “Adolescents”. There are 6 search results articles that will be analyzed after using the manual screening article selection technique with reference to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Searches obtained from Google Scoolar were 10 articles, Science Direct 18 and those obtained from the Pubmed database were 16 articles so that the results from the two databases were 44 articles. After screening, there were 26 articles that were not full text. Journals that did not meet the inclusion criteria were 12 articles, so that a complete article was obtained which was assessed for eligibility as many as 6 articles. Certain personality profiles are associated with dropout and relapse in substance use disorders. Almost all of the psychometric testing shown capability to differentiate substance abuse disorders with general population, with significant difference. Different types of psychometrics show that some personality traits have significant differences between groups with substance abuse versus the normal population, or differences between groups with opioids versus alcohol. Consistently from various psychometric tests conducted on diverse populations, it can be concluded that evaluation of personality traits should be the initial basic management for clients with substance use disorders and can be a predictor of dropout and relapse.
