ABSTRACT
Social conflicts characterized by intolerance, hate speech, verbal violence, and declining mutual respect remain significant challenges in modern society. These conditions highlight the need to strengthen moral and spiritual values that can support the development of more harmonious and sustainable social relationships. This article aims to analyze the relevance of peace-related verses in the Qur’an to various forms of social conflict in the modern era. The study employs a library research method using a thematic interpretation approach through the processes of collecting, classifying, analyzing, and interpreting Qur’anic verses related to the concept of peace. The findings reveal that the Qur’an positions peace, brotherhood, tolerance, dialogue, and the wise resolution of disputes as fundamental principles of human life. More specifically, peace-related verses are relevant to addressing contemporary issues such as fostering tolerance in diverse societies, preventing the spread of hate speech in digital spaces, resolving conflicts through consultation and reconciliation, and promoting a culture of mutual respect within communities. These findings indicate that Qur’anic values of peace are not merely normative and theological in nature but also serve practical functions as an ethical framework for strengthening social cohesion and encouraging constructive conflict resolution. Therefore, the peace-related verses of the Qur’an remain highly relevant as moral and social foundations for fostering a peaceful, inclusive, and civilized society.
