The advancement of (AI) technology in the workplace has introduced a new psychological challenge in the form of technostress, particularly among workers with high dependence on AI use in their daily work. This study aims to measure the effect of AI literacy on technostress among digital creative multimedia industry workers. The research hypothesis states that there is a significant effect of AI literacy on technostress. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design involving 230 digital creative multimedia industry workers employed as full-time, freelance, part-time, or intern workers, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the MAILS (Meta AI literacy Scale) and Technostress Scale instruments, then analyzed using a simple linear regression test. Results showed that AI literacy has a significant positive effect on technostress, although with a relatively small contribution. This finding differs in direction from previous research on student samples, indicating that the relationship between AI literacy and technostress depends on the characteristics of the population studied. These findings imply that improving AI competency among digital creative multimedia industry workers should be accompanied by realistic work-expectation management and organizational support, given that high technological mastery does not automatically reduce the risk of technostress.
