Abstract

ABSTRACT

The rapid expansion of Indonesia's manufacturing industry has increased the importance of maintaining a workforce that remains strongly connected to the organization. Within this context, employees' perceptions of organizational support are considered a key factor influencing their willingness to stay committed and contribute to organizational performance. This study examined the association between perceived organizational support and job embeddedness among employees of PT. X. The research involved the entire population of 102 employees using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test with SPSS version 30.0.0 for Windows. The findings revealed a significant positive relationship between perceived organizational support and job embeddedness, with a correlation coefficient of r = .659 and a significance level of p < .05. These results indicate that employees who perceive greater organizational support tend to exhibit stronger attachment to both their jobs and the organization. The findings further suggest that organizational practices promoting fairness, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for training and professional development contribute to strengthening employees' job embeddedness. Therefore, reinforcing organizational support may serve as an effective strategy for retaining committed employees while enhancing organizational sustainability and performance within the manufacturing sector.

Perkembangan industri manufaktur yang semakin kompetitif menempatkan keterlekatan karyawan sebagai salah satu faktor penting dalam menjaga keberlangsungan produktivitas organisasi. Dalam konteks tersebut, persepsi karyawan terhadap dukungan yang diberikan organisasi dipandang berpotensi membentuk keinginan untuk tetap bertahan dan berkontribusi di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi keterkaitan antara perceived organizational support dan job embeddedness pada karyawan PT. X. Seluruh populasi yang berjumlah 102 karyawan dilibatkan sebagai responden melalui teknik sampel jenuh. Data diperoleh menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment menggunakan SPSS versi 30.0.0 for Windows. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara perceived organizational support dan job embeddedness dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar r = .659 dan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dukungan yang dirasakan karyawan dari organisasi diikuti oleh semakin kuatnya keterlekatan mereka terhadap pekerjaan dan organisasi. Kondisi ini mengindikasikan bahwa praktik organisasi yang memberikan perlakuan adil, menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, serta menyediakan kesempatan pelatihan dan pengembangan berkontribusi dalam memperkuat keterlekatan kerja. Dengan demikian, penguatan dukungan organisasi dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai strategi untuk mempertahankan sumber daya manusia yang berkomitmen sekaligus mendukung keberlangsungan kinerja organisasi di sektor manufaktur.
