Science learning in elementary schools is generally conducted conventionally and teacher-centered, leaving students passive with limited engagement in meaningful scientific processes. A similar condition occurred at SD Negeri Ketty-Letpey, where the pre-cycle results showed that only 8% of Grade IV students achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria in science. This study aims to improve the science learning outcomes of Grade IV students at SD Negeri Ketty-Letpey through the environment-based experimental method on the material The Influence of Physical Environmental Changes on the Earth Surface. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 13 Grade IV students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets of teacher and student activities, and documentation of learning activities. The results showed an increase in the average student score from 61 in the pre-cycle to 67 in Cycle I and 75 in Cycle II, with classical completeness consistently increasing from 8% to 54% and ultimately reaching 84.6%. Thus, the environment-based experimental method has been proven effective in improving science learning outcomes for Grade IV elementary school students.
