STRATEGI PENJAMINAN MUTU TERINTEGRASI PADA LEMBAGA PENDIDIKAN ISLAM: STUDI KOMPARATIF MANAJEMEN MUTU SEKOLAH, MADRASAH, DAN PESANTREN

ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM)-based quality management and quality control mechanisms through the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle and internal audits in Islamic educational institutions. The study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Research data were obtained from scientific articles accessed through the Google Scholar database using keywords related to quality assurance, Islamic education, TQM, PDCA, and the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). Eight relevant articles were selected and analyzed using content analysis and comparative analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of TQM in Islamic schools contributes to the development of a structured, participatory, and continuously improving quality management system. In addition, the application of the PDCA cycle and internal audits supports systematic quality control through planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up improvement processes. The study proposes an integrated quality assurance model that combines the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM), the PDCA cycle, internal audits, and Islamic values as the foundation for developing a sustainable quality culture in Islamic schools, madrasahs, and pesantren. Therefore, this study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of an integrative, adaptive, and sustainable quality assurance model in Islamic education.
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi manajemen mutu sekolah Islam berbasis Total Quality Management (TQM) serta mekanisme pengendalian mutu melalui siklus Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) dan audit internal pada lembaga pendidikan Islam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Data penelitian diperoleh dari artikel ilmiah yang diakses melalui database Google Scholar menggunakan kata kunci yang berkaitan dengan quality assurance, pendidikan Islam, TQM, PDCA, dan Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal (SPMI). Dari hasil penelusuran, diperoleh delapan artikel yang relevan dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik content analysis dan analisis komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi TQM pada sekolah Islam berperan dalam membangun sistem pengelolaan mutu yang terstruktur, partisipatif, dan berorientasi pada perbaikan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, penerapan siklus PDCA dan audit internal terbukti mendukung pengendalian mutu pendidikan secara sistematis melalui proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut perbaikan mutu. Temuan penelitian menghasilkan model penjaminan mutu terintegrasi yang memadukan prinsip Total Quality Management (TQM), siklus PDCA, audit internal, dan nilai-nilai keislaman sebagai landasan pengembangan budaya mutu berkelanjutan pada sekolah Islam, madrasah, dan pesantren. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam pengembangan model penjaminan mutu pendidikan Islam yang bersifat integratif, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan.
