Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principal transformational leadership on students' achievement motivation, as well as to explore the role of teacher performance as a moderating variable. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach to a number of high schools in Indonesia. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires filled out by students, teachers, and principals. The results of the study indicate that principal transformational leadership has a significant influence on students' achievement motivation. In addition, teacher performance has also been shown to moderate the relationship between principal leadership and student motivation, where higher teacher performance strengthens the positive effect of principal transformational leadership on students' achievement motivation. This study provides practical implications for the development of leadership strategies in schools to improve teacher performance and student achievement.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap motivasi berprestasi siswa, serta untuk mengeksplorasi peran kinerja guru sebagai variabel moderasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei terhadap sejumlah sekolah menengah atas di Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang diisi oleh siswa, guru, dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap motivasi berprestasi siswa. Selain itu, kinerja guru juga terbukti memoderasi hubungan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi siswa, di mana kinerja guru yang lebih tinggi memperkuat efek positif dari kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap motivasi berprestasi siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengembangan strategi kepemimpinan di sekolah guna meningkatkan kinerja guru dan prestasi siswa.
