Abstract

ABSTRACT

Low student participation in mathematics learning, caused by the dominance of lecture-based teaching methods, limited learning materials aligned with the Kurikulum Merdeka, and the lack of student-centered instructional practices, has become a challenge that needs to be addressed. This condition affects students’ active involvement in the learning process and hinders the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This study aimed to develop a Kurikulum Merdeka-based teaching module that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ learning activeness in the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV). The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, validation sheets, and learning activeness observation sheets, and were analyzed descriptively using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that the teaching module achieved a validity level of 91.5% categorized as very valid, a practicality level of 89.2% categorized as very practical, and was effective in increasing students’ learning activeness from 63.4% to 86.7%, representing an increase of 23.3%. These findings indicate that the Kurikulum Merdeka-based teaching module integrating Problem Based Learning is feasible for use as a learning tool to create mathematics learning that is more active, contextual, collaborative, student-centered, and supportive of achieving learning objectives in accordance with the characteristics of the Kurikulum Merdeka.

Rendahnya keaktifan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika akibat dominasi metode ceramah, keterbatasan perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, serta belum optimalnya penerapan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik menjadi tantangan yang perlu diatasi. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya partisipasi peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dan kurang berkembangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis serta pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul ajar berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar peserta didik pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, lembar validasi, dan lembar observasi keaktifan belajar, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar memperoleh tingkat validitas sebesar 91,5% dengan kategori sangat valid, tingkat kepraktisan sebesar 89,2% dengan kategori sangat praktis, serta efektif meningkatkan keaktifan belajar peserta didik dari 63,4% menjadi 86,7% atau meningkat sebesar 23,3%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka yang mengintegrasikan model Problem Based Learning layak digunakan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran untuk menciptakan pembelajaran matematika yang lebih aktif, kontekstual, kolaboratif, berpusat pada peserta didik, serta mendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran sesuai karakteristik Kurikulum Merdeka.
