Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in knowledge of pregnant women about pre-eclampsia before and after being given education using video media in the Sukorambi Health Center work area. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental pretest-posttest design on a group of pregnant women. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires that measured knowledge before and after video education. The study sample of 49 pregnant women was selected using a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that the knowledge of pregnant women before education was mostly in the sufficient category (42.86%), while after education almost all were in the good category. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05). These findings support the effectiveness of video media as a health education tool, especially to increase awareness of pregnant women about preeclampsia. In conclusion, the use of video media can be a practical solution to increase the knowledge of pregnant women, which has the potential to reduce the risk of preeclampsia through early detection and better preventive measures.
