ANALISIS TINGKAT PEMANFAATAN AI DALAM PENULISAN TEKS ULASAN PADA MAHASISWA ILMU KOMPUTER

ABSTRACT
The rapid development of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the way university students complete academic assignments, including review writing, which requires analytical and critical thinking skills. The increasing use of AI has also raised concerns about declining academic independence among Computer Science students. This study aimed to analyze the level of AI utilization in review writing, identify the factors influencing its use, and examine its implications for writing quality and academic literacy. A descriptive-correlational quantitative approach was employed, involving 52 undergraduate students from the Computer Science Study Program who completed an online Likert-scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson product-moment correlation in SPSS. The findings revealed that 96.15% of respondents had used AI for review writing, with Claude being the most frequently used application (57.69%), while 67.31% demonstrated a moderate level of AI utilization. AI was primarily used during the pre-writing and drafting stages to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a work. The frequency of AI use showed a strong positive correlation with students' perceptions that AI supported their analytical process (r = 0.730), whereas the proportion of AI-generated content was significantly correlated with lower independent analytical ability (r = 0.429). Furthermore, 86.54% of respondents reported encountering inaccurate AI-generated information but continued to use AI in the writing process. The study concludes that AI enhances the efficiency of analysis and argument development; however, its use should be proportionately regulated to ensure the continued development of students' critical thinking and academic literacy.

Perkembangan AI generatif telah mengubah cara mahasiswa menyelesaikan tugas akademik, termasuk penulisan teks ulasan yang menuntut kemampuan analitis dan berpikir kritis. Peningkatan penggunaan AI juga memunculkan kekhawatiran terhadap potensi ketergantungan yang dapat memengaruhi kemandirian akademik mahasiswa Ilmu Komputer. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat pemanfaatan AI dalam penulisan teks ulasan, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penggunaannya, serta implikasinya terhadap kualitas tulisan dan literasi akademik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif-korelasional dengan melibatkan 52 mahasiswa aktif Program Studi Ilmu Komputer melalui kuesioner daring berskala Likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan korelasi Pearson product-moment dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 96,15% responden pernah menggunakan AI dalam penulisan teks ulasan, dengan Claude sebagai aplikasi yang paling banyak digunakan (57,69%), dan 67,31% berada pada kategori pemanfaatan sedang. AI paling sering digunakan pada tahap pra-penulisan dan penulisan untuk mengidentifikasi kelebihan dan kekurangan suatu karya. Frekuensi penggunaan AI berkorelasi kuat dengan persepsi bahwa AI membantu analisis karya (r = 0,730), sedangkan proporsi konten hasil AI berkorelasi signifikan dengan penurunan kemampuan analisis mandiri (r = 0,429). Selain itu, 86,54% responden pernah menemukan informasi yang tidak akurat dari AI, namun tetap memanfaatkannya dalam proses penulisan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa AI dapat meningkatkan efisiensi analisis dan penyusunan argumen, tetapi penggunaannya perlu dikendalikan secara proporsional agar kemampuan berpikir kritis dan literasi akademik mahasiswa tetap berkembang secara optimal.
