EVALUASI HedPERF SEBAGAI PERBAIKAN KUALITAS LAYANAN DALAM PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN VOKASI

Vocational higher education emphasizes the development of practical competencies and graduate readiness for industrial environments, making the quality of instructional services is crucial, especially in practice-oriented courses. This study aims to evaluate the performance of educational services at Vocational Education Institution X and to propose improvement strategies aligned with the characteristics of vocational education. Service quality was assessed using the Higher Education Performance (HEdPERF) instrument. The findings reveal that the academic and facilities dimensions received the lowest perceived scores compared to other service dimensions, indicating substantial gaps in learning support and practical infrastructure. To prioritize improvement efforts, the Urgency, Seriousness, and Growth (USG) method was subsequently applied, identifying limitations in practical facilities as the core issue requiring immediate intervention. In response, this study proposes the development of digital learning media in the form of a 3D model and an interactive simulation of the weaving preparation machine dashboard, analyzed using the ADDIE instructional design model. The proposed solution is expected to enhance the effectiveness of practical learning, mitigate reliance on physical laboratory equipment, and support the integration of digital technologies in vocational education.
ABSTRAK
Pendidikan tinggi vokasi berorientasi pada penguasaan keterampilan praktis dan kesiapan lulusan menghadapi kebutuhan industri, sehingga kualitas layanan pembelajaran menjadi faktor yang sangat menentukan khususnya pada mata kuliah praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kinerja layanan pendidikan di Perguruan Tinggi X serta merumuskan usulan perbaikan yang relevan dengan karakteristik pendidikan vokasi. Evaluasi kualitas layanan dilakukan menggunakan instrumen Higher Education Performance (HEdPERF). Hasil pemetaan menunjukkan bahwa dimensi akademik dan fasilitas memiliki tingkat persepsi terendah dibandingkan dimensi lainnya, yang mengindikasikan adanya kesenjangan kualitas layanan pada aspek pembelajaran dan sarana praktikum. Selanjutnya digunakanan metode USG untuk menentukan isu yang paling mendesak. Hasil penilaian USG menetapkan keterbatasan fasilitas praktikum sebagai isu inti yang memerlukan penanganan prioritas. Sebagai respons terhadap isu tersebut, penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis model 3D dan simulasi panel dashboard mesin persiapan pertenunan yang dianalisis menggunakan model ADDIE. Usulan ini dipandang mampu mendukung efektivitas pembelajaran praktikum, mengurangi ketergantungan pada fasilitas fisik, serta memperkuat penerapan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi digital dalam pendidikan vokasi.
