ABSTRACT
Digital learning at SMP Negeri 2 Sakra Timur still faces challenges related to limited infrastructure, differences in teachers’ technological adaptation skills, and limited access to devices and internet connectivity among students. These conditions indicate that the success of digital learning is determined not only by technology availability but also by the principal’s strategies for managing resources and addressing implementation barriers. This study aimed to (1) analyze the principal’s strategies in supporting digital learning at SMP Negeri 2 Sakra Timur; (2) identify the technical and non-technical challenges encountered; and (3) describe the solutions implemented to address these challenges. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving nine informants selected using purposive sampling, consisting of the principal, vice principals, teachers, IT personnel, and students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion verification. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation, member checking, and observation. The findings showed that the principal’s strategies included strengthening infrastructure, developing teacher competencies, optimizing technology utilization, and conducting supervision and evaluation. Solutions were implemented gradually and adaptively according to the school’s conditions.
