ANALISIS BISNIS CAPTIKUS DI DESA TONDEI KECAMATAN MOTOLING BARAT KABUPATEN MINAHASA SELATAN

ABSTRACT
Captikus is a traditional Minahasan beverage that holds economic and cultural value for local communities. However, studies on the development of Captikus businesses that integrate business management and local wisdom remain limited, resulting in a lack of adequate management strategies. This study aims to analyze Captikus business practices in Tondei Village, South Minahasa Regency, and identify its development potential and challenges. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through observations and interviews with 10 informants consisting of Captikus producers, community leaders, and individuals knowledgeable about Captikus production and marketing activities. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Captikus production is still carried out through traditional methods by utilizing local knowledge in raw material selection, palm sap tapping, and processing practices. Marketing activities are still dominated by local networks and word-of-mouth promotion, while business management is not yet supported by systematic financial record-keeping. The main challenges include limited capital, fluctuations in raw material availability, low managerial capacity, and business legality issues. On the other hand, Captikus has considerable development potential through institutional strengthening, product diversification, business legalization, and the utilization of digital marketing based on local cultural values. This study concludes that Captikus has the potential to be developed as a local wisdom-based MSME that can increase community income while preserving Minahasan cultural heritage. The findings provide a foundation for formulating sustainable local economic development strategies.
ABSTRAK
Captikus merupakan minuman tradisional khas Minahasa yang memiliki nilai ekonomi dan budaya bagi masyarakat lokal. Namun, kajian mengenai pengembangan usaha Captikus yang mengintegrasikan aspek bisnis dan kearifan lokal masih terbatas sehingga strategi pengelolaannya belum terdokumentasi secara memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis praktik bisnis Captikus di Desa Tondei, Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, serta mengidentifikasi potensi dan kendala pengembangannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap 10 informan yang terdiri atas pelaku usaha Captikus, tokoh masyarakat, dan pihak yang memahami aktivitas produksi serta pemasaran Captikus. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi Captikus masih dilakukan secara turun-temurun dengan memanfaatkan pengetahuan lokal dalam pemilihan bahan baku, penyadapan nira, dan proses pengolahan. Pemasaran masih didominasi jaringan lokal dan promosi dari mulut ke mulut, sementara pengelolaan usaha belum didukung pencatatan keuangan yang sistematis. Kendala utama meliputi keterbatasan modal, fluktuasi bahan baku, rendahnya kapasitas manajerial, dan permasalahan legalitas usaha. Di sisi lain, Captikus memiliki peluang pengembangan melalui penguatan kelembagaan usaha, diversifikasi produk, legalisasi usaha, serta pemanfaatan pemasaran digital berbasis budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Captikus berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai UMKM berbasis kearifan lokal yang dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat sekaligus mendukung pelestarian budaya Minahasa. Temuan penelitian memberikan dasar bagi penyusunan strategi penguatan ekonomi lokal yang berkelanjutan.
