ABSTRACT
The Korean drama Twenty Five Twenty One presents the relationship between Na Hee-do and Baek Yi-jin, which has generated diverse audience responses, particularly regarding the resolution of their relationship. These varied responses indicate differences in how audiences respond to and evaluate the narrative and ending presented in the drama. This study aims to describe audience opinions categorized as pro, contra, and neutral regarding the love story of Na Hee-do and Baek Yi-jin through comments on a TikTok post from the @wetalkaboutmovies account. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data consisted of 50 comments posted on an upload published on March 2, 2024. Data analysis involved selecting relevant comments, coding the data, grouping comments according to opinion categories, and presenting the identified response patterns. The results showed that neutral responses dominated, comprising 36 comments (72%), followed by pro responses with 12 comments (24%) and contra responses with 2 comments (4%). These findings indicate that audience responses were not entirely expressed through explicit acceptance or rejection of the relationship between the two characters. Thus, TikTok comments serve as a space for audience participation in expressing responses and constructing interpretations of Korean drama narratives.
