Paving blocks are basically made of a mixture of cement, aggregate and water with or without additives. There are many types of inventions about modification of paving blocks, one of which is paving blocks made from a mixture of used sengon wood powder where all wood powder can be mixed together with fine aggregates (stone ash instead of sand). The purpose of this study was to compare the compressive strength and absorbency of the paving block normally 0% (with cement, water, and rock ash as a substitute for sand). Paving blocks of sengon wood powder mixture with variations of 3%, 6%, and 9% at the age of 7, 14, and 28 days and describe the effect of adding credits in the paving block mixture with variations of 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9% at the age of 7, 14 and 28 days, the reference of this test refers to (SNI 03-0691-1996). The results that can be stated in this study are paving blocks with the addition of the maximum compressive strength value credit obtained is 16.81 MPa after the paving block treatment period for 28 days with a variation in the addition of wood powder of 3% of the cement weight. This value has met the SNI-03–0691–1996 standard, which is at least 7.10 MPa. Based on SNI 03-0691-1996, 3% wood powder mixture paving blocks with a compressive strength value of 16.81 kg/cm2 have entered the classification of paving blocks of C quality used for pedestrians or parks and other uses, and the results of the paving block absorption test are 4.16%, 5.60%, 6.74%, and 7.20% respectively. Based on the results of the test, it was also revealed that the compressive strength produced is inversely proportional to the absorbency, the higher the compressive strength of the paving block, the lower the absorbency, and vice versa.
