Abstract

Language functions as a bridge between individuals, fostering ideas, emotions, and knowledge. It is an instrument for communication and a means to understand and express the traditions, knowledge, and wisdom of various generations. The study of language not only helps in understanding the structure and evolution of language but also helps bridge the gap between human societies and cultures. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a historical methodology to analyze the contributions of influential linguists to the development of language. Data comes from primary sources and secondary literature, such as books and journals. This study aims to understand the evolution of linguistic theory and the contributions of influential figures in the development of modern language. This research focuses on the contributions of influential figures such as Panini, Confucius, and Aristotle to the study of language, highlighting the importance of studying language as a source of communication. This study also explores the relationship between language and culture, examining how language influences perception and interaction. This research also explores various perspectives and methodologies used in language studies, encouraging innovation and enhancing understanding.

ABSTRAK
Bahasa berfungsi sebagai jembatan antara individu, mendorong ide, emosi, dan pengetahuan. Ini adalah instrumen untuk komunikasi dan sarana untuk memahami serta mengekspresikan tradisi, pengetahuan, dan kebijaksanaan dari berbagai generasi. Studi bahasa tidak hanya membantu dalam memahami struktur dan evolusi bahasa tetapi juga membantu menjembatani kesenjangan antara masyarakat dan budaya manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan metodologi historis untuk menganalisis kontribusi ahli bahasa berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan bahasa. Data berasal dari sumber primer dan literatur sekunder, seperti buku dan jurnal. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memahami evolusi teori linguistik dan kontribusi tokoh-tokoh berpengaruh dalam pengembangan bahasa modern. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kontribusi tokoh-tokoh berpengaruh seperti Panini, Konfusius, dan Aristoteles terhadap studi bahasa, menyoroti pentingnya mempelajari bahasa sebagai sumber komunikasi. Studi ini juga mengeksplorasi hubungan antara bahasa dan budaya, meneliti bagaimana bahasa mempengaruhi persepsi dan interaksi. Penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi berbagai perspektif dan metodologi yang digunakan dalam studi bahasa, mendorong inovasi dan meningkatkan pemahaman.
