KONTRIBUSI PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP TERHADAP PERILAKU PENDIDIKAN SEKSUAL PADA ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS INTELEKTUAL

This research is motivated by the lack of integrated sexual education for students with intellectual disabilities, which is exacerbated by the lack of knowledge and positive attitudes from those closest to them. The gap between students' needs for sexual information and the readiness of educators and families to convey it creates significant social and psychological risks. Therefore, this study focuses on examining the extent to which the knowledge and attitudes of parents, teachers, and caregivers contribute to their behavior in providing sexual education at SLB X. This study used a quantitative approach with a multiple regression method involving 165 participants. The instruments used included questionnaires to measure knowledge, attitude, and behavior variables. The results of the data analysis showed that simultaneously, knowledge and attitude did have a positive effect on sexual education behavior. However, their contribution was relatively small, at only 6.3%, indicating that 93.7% of behavior was influenced by other factors outside the research model. It was concluded that although knowledge and attitudes are important foundations, more comprehensive interventions, such as collaborative programs between schools and families, are needed to effectively improve the quality of sexual education for students with intellectual disabilities.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya pendidikan seksual yang terintegrasi bagi siswa dengan disabilitas intelektual, yang diperparah oleh kurangnya pengetahuan dan sikap positif dari orang-orang terdekat mereka. Kesenjangan antara kebutuhan siswa akan informasi seksual dengan kesiapan pendidik dan keluarga dalam menyampaikannya menciptakan risiko sosial dan psikologis yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengkaji sejauh mana kontribusi pengetahuan dan sikap orang tua, guru, serta pendamping terhadap perilaku mereka dalam memberikan pendidikan seksual di SLB X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode regresi berganda yang melibatkan 165 partisipan. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner untuk mengukur variabel pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan, pengetahuan dan sikap memang berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku pendidikan seksual. Namun, kontribusinya tergolong kecil, yakni hanya sebesar 6,3%, yang mengindikasikan bahwa 93,7% perilaku dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain di luar model penelitian. Disimpulkan bahwa meskipun pengetahuan dan sikap merupakan fondasi penting, diperlukan intervensi yang lebih komprehensif, seperti program kolaboratif antara sekolah dan keluarga, untuk secara efektif meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan seksual bagi siswa dengan disabilitas intelektual.
