Abstract

Depression in adolescents is one of the increasing mental health problems and requires special attention. Cognitive-behavioral therapy has been known as one of the effective approaches in treating this disorder. This study aims to initiate the role of cognitive-behavioral therapy in treating depression in adolescents through a systematic literature review approach. The methods used include literature searches from various trusted databases with specific inclusion criteria, such as studies that focus on cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions for adolescents with depression. The results of the review indicate that cognitive-behavioral therapy is consistently effective in reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety in adolescents. This study is expected to provide important insights for practitioners, researchers, and policy makers in developing more comprehensive and appropriate mental health intervention programs for adolescents.

ABSTRAK
Depresi pada remaja merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan mental yang semakin meningkat dan memerlukan perhatian khusus. Terapi kognitif-perilaku telah dikenal sebagai salah satu pendekatan yang efektif dalam menangani gangguan ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi peran terapi kognitif-perilaku dalam penanganan depresi pada remaja melalui pendekatan systematic literature review. Metode yang digunakan mencakup penelusuran literatur dari berbagai database terpercaya dengan kriteria inklusi yang spesifik, seperti penelitian yang memfokuskan pada intervensi terapi kognitif-perilaku untuk remaja yang mengalami depresi. Hasil ulasan menunjukkan bahwa terapi kognitif-perilaku secara konsisten efektif untuk menangani gejala depresi dan kecemasan di kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang signifikan bagi praktisi, peneliti, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merancang program intervensi kesehatan mental yang lebih menyeluruh dan tepat sasaran bagi remaja.
