Abstract

ABSTRACT

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in economic growth and job creation. MSMEs are a major source of job creation, innovation and economic growth. They generate income and expand new markets, investing in new technologies and infrastructure that can create a positive domino effect in the economy. MSMEs contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They help reduce poverty levels, both directly and indirectly, through employment. This literature review examines the impact of training and compensation on employee performance in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The review explores the relationship between training and employee performance, as well as the potential benefits of training for employees and organizations. The review also considers the impact of compensation on employee performance and the potential complementarity between training and compensation in improving employee performance. Overall, the review suggests that training and compensation are critical factors in motivating and improving employee performance in MSMEs.

ABSTRAK

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi dan penciptaan lapangan kerja. UMKM merupakan sumber utama penciptaan lapangan kerja, inovasi, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Mereka menghasilkan pendapatan dan memperluas pasar baru, berinvestasi dalam teknologi dan infrastruktur baru yang dapat menciptakan efek domino positif dalam perekonomian. UMKM berkontribusi dalam pencapaian Agenda 2030 untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan dan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (TPB). Mereka membantu mengurangi tingkat kemiskinan, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung, melalui penyerapan tenaga kerja. Tinjauan literatur ini menguji dampak pelatihan dan kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan di usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM). Tinjauan ini mengeksplorasi hubungan antara pelatihan dan kinerja karyawan, serta manfaat potensial dari pelatihan untuk karyawan dan organisasi. Tinjauan ini juga mempertimbangkan dampak kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan dan komplementaritas potensial antara pelatihan dan kompensasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Secara keseluruhan, tinjauan ini menyarankan bahwa pelatihan dan kompensasi adalah faktor kritis dalam memotivasi dan meningkatkan kinerja karyawan di UMKM.
