PENERAPAN MODEL INQUIRY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS DESCRIPTIVE TEXT SISWA KELAS X MIPA 4 SMAN 1 MALINAU

In this study, researchers used Inquiry Learning as a method to improve the ability to write descriptive text. The formulation of the problem in this study is: How is the ability to write descriptive texts of class X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Malinau by applying the Inquiry Learning model. The aim of the study was to determine students' writing skills on descriptive text material in class X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Malinau in the 2021/2022 academic year. The design of this research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were 35 students of class X MIPA 4 at SMA Negeri 1 Malinau during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In Cycle 1, making descriptive texts about tourism or historical places, the results of this research in cycle 1 were 57.14%, the score was still low from the completeness criteria, namely 75 out of 35 students, meaning that this research was not successful. Researchers plan the next cycle. In cycle 2, besides students making descriptive texts about tours and historical places and doing it to solve problems in cycle 1, researchers used google classroom and google meet with students. Finally, the yield of this case is 85.71%. This means that the inquiry learning method increased the ability to write descriptive texts successfully for X MIPA 4 students at SMA Negeri 1 Malinau during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
ABSTRAK
Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan Inquiry Learning sebagai metode untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks deskriptif. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: Bagaimana kemampuan menulis teks deskriptif siswa kelas X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Malinau dengan menerapkan model Inqury Learning. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis siswa pada materi teks deskriptif di kelas X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Malinau Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa kelas X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Malinau pada masa Pandemi Covid-19. Pada Siklus 1 membuat teks deskriptif tentang wisata atau tempat bersejarah, hasil penelitian pada siklus 1 ini adalah 57,14%, nilai yang masih rendah dari kriteria ketuntasan yaitu 75 dari 35 siswa, artinya penelitian ini tidak berhasil. Peneliti merencanakan siklus berikutnya. Pada siklus 2, selain siswa membuat teks deskriptif kembali tentang wisata dan tempat bersejarah dan dilakukan untuk memecahkan masalah pada siklus 1, peneliti menggunakan google classroom dan google meet dengan siswa. Akhirnya, hasil dari kasus ini adalah 85,71%. Artinya metode pembelajaran inkuiri meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks deskriptif berhasil pada siswa X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Malinau Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19.
