Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences and similarities between the education systems in Indonesia and Singapore and examine their implications for improving the quality of national education. The background of this study is based on the importance of education reform in Indonesia in order to be able to compete globally. The focus of the study includes education policies, curriculum, teaching methods, and student learning outcomes in both countries. This study uses a literature study method by reviewing various official documents, international reports, and related research results. The research steps begin with identifying the main indicators of the education system, comparative analysis of the structure and implementation of policies, to evaluating the impact on student learning outcomes. The results of the study show that Singapore is superior in the effectiveness of education policies, the implementation of a 21st century skills-based curriculum, and the consistency of learning outcomes at the international level. Meanwhile, Indonesia still faces challenges in equalizing the quality and innovation of learning. The main conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of adopting best practices from Singapore, such as strengthening teacher training and curriculum reform, as strategic recommendations to strengthen Indonesia's national education system.
