DINAMIKA PENGGUNAAN QUIZIZZ DALAM EVALUASI PEMBELAJARAN AGAMA HINDU DARI PERSPEKTIF MAHASISWA

This research is motivated by the urgency of transforming conventional learning evaluation methods toward a more interactive and adaptive approach in the digital era, particularly in Hinduism courses for tourism students, which require a deep understanding of cultural values. The study aims to explore the dynamics of using the Quizizz application as a gamification-based evaluation instrument to increase student engagement and understanding. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, and analysis of evaluation documentation. These data were then analyzed using an interactive model. The research findings indicate that the integration of Quizizz successfully transformed a rigid evaluation atmosphere into a fun, educational activity, significantly increasing intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and encouraging active student participation through a healthy competition feature. Furthermore, the instant feedback from the application was shown to strengthen the understanding of Hindu theological and ethical concepts relevant to the context of the tourism industry. The main conclusion of this study confirms that despite technical challenges related to network infrastructure, Quizizz has great potential as an effective, humanistic evaluation medium, capable of bridging the mastery of academic material with practical implementation in the workplace.
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi transformasi metode evaluasi pembelajaran konvensional menuju pendekatan yang lebih interaktif dan adaptif di era digital, khususnya dalam mata kuliah Agama Hindu bagi mahasiswa pariwisata yang memerlukan penguasaan nilai budaya secara mendalam. Penelitian bertujuan mengeksplorasi dinamika penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz sebagai instrumen evaluasi berbasis gamifikasi guna meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman mahasiswa. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan dosen dan mahasiswa, serta analisis dokumentasi hasil evaluasi, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Quizizz berhasil mengubah atmosfer evaluasi yang kaku menjadi aktivitas edukatif yang menyenangkan, secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik, serta mendorong partisipasi aktif mahasiswa melalui fitur kompetisi yang sehat. Lebih lanjut, umpan balik instan dari aplikasi terbukti memperkuat pemahaman konsep teologis dan etika Hindu yang relevan dengan konteks industri pariwisata. Simpulan utama penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa meskipun terdapat tantangan teknis terkait infrastruktur jaringan, Quizizz memiliki potensi besar sebagai media evaluasi yang efektif, humanis, dan mampu menjembatani penguasaan materi akademik dengan implementasi praktis di dunia kerja.
