Teachers are required to deliver instructional content effectively to foster active student engagement in the learning process. The selection of appropriate instructional methods is therefore essential, as less engaging approaches may lead to decreased motivation and suboptimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to examine the effect of the guided note taking method on students’ learning outcomes at MA. Muhammadiyah Cambajawaya, Bontonompo Selatan District, Gowa Regency. The study employed a quasi-experimental research design involving students of class XI.B as research participants. Data were collected through learning achievement tests and analyzed using quantitative techniques. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes following the implementation of the guided note taking method, both individually and classically. The t-test analysis revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. In addition, simple linear regression analysis indicated that the guided note taking method had a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes, as evidenced by the calculated F-value exceeding the critical F-value at the 0.05 significance level. These findings suggest that the guided note taking method is effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes.
