This study aims to explore teachers’ strategies in enhancing students’ learning motivation through the implementation of rewards and punishments in the Qur’an Hadith subject for third-grade students at MI Al-Mujahidin Lelede. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that rewards were given in the form of praise, small gifts, or additional grades to increase student participation and enthusiasm for learning. Meanwhile, punishments were applied in an educational manner to foster discipline and responsibility, such as requiring students to complete tasks or recite memorized verses in front of the class. These results indicate that a well-balanced application of rewards and punishments can create a more conducive learning environment, enhance student engagement, and strengthen disciplinary character. This study contributes to the practice of Qur’an Hadith learning at the elementary madrasah level, particularly in efforts to build sustainable student motivation.
