Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of the head of SMP Plus Jabal Noor Pogalan Trenggalek and the organization's commitment to improving the performance of its employees. The research method used is a type of qualitative research (field research study), namely field research using data collection methods from participant/direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result of this study is that the principal of Jabal Plus Junior High School Noor Pogalan Trenggalek has implemented transformational leadership in its organization, which is shown by the changes in systems and policies in schools that have followed the development of today's times and there is also a strong organizational commitment in this institution so that it has an impact on improving employee performance.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan transformasional kepala SMP Plus Jabal Noor Pogalan Trenggalek dan komitmen organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawainya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif (field research study), yaitu penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dari observasi partisipan/langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kepala SMP Plus Jabal Noor Pogalan Trenggalek sudah menerapkan kepemimpinan transformasional di organisasinya yaitu ditunjukkan dengan adanya perubahan-perubahan sistem dan kebijakan di sekolah yang sudah mengikuti perkembangan zaman sekarang dan juga sudah ada komitmen organisasi yang kuat di Lembaga ini sehingga berdampak pada meningkatkan kinerja pegawai.
