IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM MENTORING SEJARAH ISLAM DALAM MENINGKATKAN KESADARAN BERAGAMA PADA SISWA

Abstract

Islamic religious education aims not only to enhance students' religious knowledge but also to cultivate a religious consciousness reflected in their attitudes, behaviors, and the practice of Islamic teachings in daily life. One strategy to achieve this goal is through an Islamic History mentoring program. Through mentoring activities, students not only learn about events and figures in Islamic history but also derive exemplary values relevant to their own lives. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Islamic History mentoring program in enhancing students' religious consciousness at MA Khozinatul Ulum Blora. Furthermore, it seeks to understand the program's execution process and the changes in students' religious consciousness following their participation. The study is expected to provide insight into the role of mentoring activities in fostering the religious character of the students. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants consisted of supervising teachers and students participating in the Islamic History mentoring program. The collected data were analyzed through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain a systematic overview of the program's implementation and its impact on students' religious consciousness. The results indicate that the Islamic History mentoring program was implemented through learning activities, discussions, guidance, and the presentation of exemplary examples from Islamic figures. These activities helped students understand Islamic values in a more contextual manner and encouraged their application in daily life. Improvements in religious consciousness were evident in the students' understanding of Islamic teachings, their mindfulness in performing acts of worship, and their display of discipline, responsibility, and concern for others. Thus, the Islamic History mentoring program serves as a valuable supporting activity for enhancing religious consciousness and shaping the religious character of students at MA Khozinatul Ulum Blora.
