The rapid development of digital technology in higher education requires students to possess adequate digital literacy to support learning while coping with various academic challenges. However, digital competence alone may not be sufficient to build learning resilience, as learning motivation may serve as an important mechanism linking digital capabilities to students' ability to persist and adapt when facing academic pressures. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital literacy on students' learning resilience, with learning motivation as a mediating variable, and to test whether the strength of these relationships differs across gender and study-program groups using Multi-Group Analysis (MGA). The subjects were 265 students from the Accounting and Accounting Education study programs, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan, analyzed quantitatively using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Results show that digital literacy significantly affects learning resilience, both directly (path coefficient 0.251; t=4.659) and indirectly through learning motivation (coefficient 0.300; t=7.805; p<0.05), indicating that learning motivation plays a partial mediating role in this relationship. The MGA results reveal that the magnitude of the indirect effect of digital literacy on learning resilience through learning motivation does not differ significantly between male and female students (specific indirect effect difference 0.017; p=0.829), nor between the Accounting and Accounting Education groups (specific indirect effect difference −0.049; p=0.668). In other words, the mediating pathway involving digital literacy, learning motivation, and learning resilience is consistent across gender and study-program groups. These findings confirm that strengthening digital literacy and learning motivation is a strategy equally relevant for all students, regardless of these demographic characteristics.
