MODEL PPKN-ECO: PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM PPKN BERBASIS ZERO WASTE UNTUK PENGUATAN ECOLOGICAL CITIZENSHIP

ABSTRACT

The integration of environmental issues into Civic Education (PPKn) learning needs to be strengthened so that civic education is oriented not only toward developing civic competencies but also toward fostering students’ ecological responsibility. This study aims to develop a prototype of the PPKn-Eco Model with content validity based on expert evaluation. The model is a Zero Waste-based Civic Education curriculum model that integrates the 5R principles (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot) into Civic Education learning at SMA Negeri 4 Mataram to support the development of ecological citizenship. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which was limited to the Analyze, Design, and Develop stages. The developed products included an integrated curriculum, learning modules based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL), a curriculum alignment matrix, student worksheets (LKPD), a parent observation sheet, and a learning sequence. Validation was conducted by experts in curriculum and instruction as well as experts in environmental education and Zero Waste using a four-point Likert-scale instrument. The validation results yielded a score of 3.58 from the curriculum and instruction expert, categorized as highly valid, and 3.09 from the environmental education and Zero Waste expert, categorized as valid, resulting in an overall mean score of 3.34, categorized as highly valid. These results indicate that the PPKn-Eco Model prototype has adequate content validity based on expert evaluation and is suitable for further implementation to examine its practicality and effectiveness in supporting the development of students’ ecological citizenship.

Integrasi isu lingkungan dalam pembelajaran PPKn masih perlu diperkuat agar pendidikan kewarganegaraan tidak hanya berorientasi pada pembentukan kompetensi kewarganegaraan, tetapi juga tanggung jawab ekologis peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan prototipe Model PPKn-Eco yang valid secara konten berdasarkan penilaian pakar. Model yang dikembangkan merupakan model kurikulum PPKn berbasis Zero Waste yang mengintegrasikan prinsip 5R (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, dan Rot) dalam pembelajaran PPKn di SMA Negeri 4 Mataram untuk mendukung pengembangan ecological citizenship. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang dibatasi pada tahap Analyze, Design, dan Develop. Produk yang dikembangkan meliputi kurikulum terintegrasi, modul ajar berbasis Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dan Project-Based Learning (PjBL), matriks keselarasan kurikulum, LKPD, lembar observasi orang tua, dan sekuens pembelajaran. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli kurikulum dan pembelajaran serta ahli pendidikan lingkungan dan Zero Waste menggunakan instrumen skala Likert 4 poin. Hasil validasi memperoleh skor 3,58 dari ahli kurikulum dan pembelajaran dengan kategori sangat valid serta 3,09 dari ahli pendidikan lingkungan dan Zero Waste dengan kategori valid, sehingga rerata keseluruhan mencapai 3,34 dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa prototipe Model PPKn-Eco memiliki validitas konten yang memadai berdasarkan penilaian pakar dan layak dilanjutkan pada tahap implementasi untuk menguji kepraktisan dan efektivitasnya dalam mendukung penguatan ecological citizenship peserta didik.
