PEMANFAATAN CERITA RAKYAT KIDANG GARUNGAN BERBASIS VIDEO ANIMASI SEBAGAI MEDIA PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN NILAI-NILAI PANCASILA SILA KE-2

ABSTRACT

The low level of students' understanding of the second principle of Pancasila highlights the need for more engaging and contextual learning media in Pancasila Education. This study aimed to investigate the effect of utilizing the Kidang Garungan folktale presented through animated video on improving fourth-grade students’ understanding of the values embodied in the second principle of Pancasila at SDN 1 Dieng Kulon. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants consisted of 64 students, including 32 students in the experimental group and 32 students in the control group. Data were collected using a multiple-choice test that met the required research instrument standards. Data analysis was conducted through normality testing, homogeneity testing, Independent Samples t-Test, and N-Gain analysis using SPSS software. The results indicated that the average score of the experimental group increased from 51.25 on the pretest to 76.25 on the posttest, while the control group improved from 54.69 to 59.06. The Independent Samples t-Test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Furthermore, the N-Gain score of the experimental group reached 47.72%, whereas the control group obtained -0.05%. These findings demonstrate that the use of animated videos based on the Kidang Garungan folktale effectively enhances elementary school students’ understanding of the values of the second principle of Pancasila and can serve as an alternative instructional medium to support character education development.

Rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila sila ke-2 menunjukkan perlunya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan cerita rakyat Kidang Garungan berbasis video animasi terhadap peningkatan pemahaman nilai-nilai Pancasila sila ke-2 pada siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Dieng Kulon. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment dan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 64 siswa yang terdiri atas 32 siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan 32 siswa pada kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda yang telah memenuhi persyaratan instrumen penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji Independent Sample t-Test, dan uji N-Gain dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 51,25 pada pretest menjadi 76,25 pada posttest, sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat dari 54,69 menjadi 59,06. Hasil uji Independent Sample t-Test memperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (<0,05) yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Hasil N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 47,72%, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar -0,05%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan video animasi berbasis cerita rakyat Kidang Garungan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman nilai-nilai Pancasila sila ke-2 pada siswa sekolah dasar serta dapat menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran yang mendukung penguatan pendidikan karakter.
