This research was motivated by the fact that a repeat analysis of radiographs had never been conducted in the Radiology Department of PKU Muhammadiyah Karanganyar Hospital, even though national standards, according to Minister of Health Regulation No. 129 of 2008, stipulate a repeat tolerance limit of below 2%. This lack of analysis has left the factors causing repeats unidentified, making it difficult to minimize them. Therefore, this study focused on measuring the repeat rate and identifying the primary causal factors. This study used a descriptive quantitative method and was conducted over three months. Data collection was conducted through observation, documentation, and interviews with radiographers, which were then analyzed as percentages. The results showed that the repeat rates for three consecutive months were 1.35%, 1.30%, and 1.43%, respectively. This finding demonstrates that the repeat rate at the hospital remains below the established threshold. The highest contributing factor to repeats was patient positioning errors (39.71%), followed by clipped objects (23.53%). It was concluded that although the repeat rate met the standard, ongoing evaluation focusing on patient positioning techniques is needed to further reduce the repeat rate.
