Abstract

Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are two psychotherapy approaches that have proven effective in treating various psychological disorders, such as anxiety, depression and trauma. Despite having different mechanisms, the combination of these two therapies offers better results compared to using each separately. Hypnotherapy works by accessing the subconscious mind to address hidden emotional problems, while CBT focuses on changing negative thought patterns. Integration of the two can speed up the healing process by reducing emotional resistance and modifying basic beliefs that inhibit change. Research shows that this combination is effective for a variety of disorders, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction. This literature aims to explain the basic concepts of hypnotherapy and CBT, the effectiveness of each in treating psychological disorders, as well as the clinical application of the integration of the two methods. It is hoped that these findings will provide a deeper understanding for psychotherapy practitioners and mental health professionals in applying this combined therapy.
